Launched in 2025, the ECLA Scholarship Program reflects our commitment to investing in the future of competition law. It is designed to open opportunities for young people to engage with the international community and bring fresh perspectives to the field. Through this initiative, we aim to strengthen diversity and foster new voices in competition law.

Our Mission

The European Competition Lawyers Association is committed to fostering the growth of the next generation of competition law experts. Our scholarship program provides financial support for travel, accommodation, and participation in The Annual ECLA Conference.

We aim to make the event accessible to students, academics, and individuals working in government administration,  antitrust authorities, or courts dealing with competition law who are passionate about competition law but may otherwise find participation challenging. By removing obstacles to participation, we encourage young professionals to engage with the international competition law community, exchange ideas, and build valuable networks.

  • Students and early-stage professionals with a strong interest in competition law,

"The lawyers (and market economists) there were genuinely open and ready to share what it is like working in competition law. They gave me some advice and a better feel of how antitrust works in practice. Since they come from all around Europe, you also got the benefit of hearing different national perspectives. It was clear straight away that everyone there is passionate about what they do and that is inspiring."
